Terms of Service

By booking a wash with Freshest, you agree to these terms. They're written plainly so you actually know what you're agreeing to.

Service area

We only cover postcodes within a 3-mile radius of Scarborough town centre — currently YO11, YO12 and YO13. Bookings outside this area will be politely cancelled.

Bookings & confirmations

When you book, your slot starts as pending. We confirm bookings within 24 hours and will reach out by phone or email if there's a problem. Weekend slots aren't guaranteed and may be re-scheduled.

Pricing

Listed prices are from prices — final price depends on the size and condition of the car. We'll always tell you the exact price before we start work, and you can call it off if you're not happy.

Payment

Cash in hand on the day, paid to the person washing your car. We're working on adding card payments — when we do, this section will be updated.

Cancellations & rescheduling

You can cancel or reschedule any time from your dashboard, free of charge. We'd appreciate at least 12 hours' notice so we can fill the slot. We may also cancel or reschedule if the weather is unsafe (heavy rain, ice, high winds) — we'll let you know as soon as possible.

Weather

We work in light rain but will reschedule if the weather makes a proper job impossible. No charge if we cancel due to weather.

Damage & complaints

We take care of every car like it's our own. If you think we've caused damage, tell us straight away (ideally before we leave) and we'll do our best to put it right. We don't accept liability for pre-existing damage, loose trim, or weather-related issues outside our control.

Cars we won't wash

We reserve the right to decline a job if the vehicle is in a state that risks damage (e.g. flaking paint, broken trim), or if there's no safe place to work.

Photos & reviews

If you leave us a review, your first name and the service you booked may appear on our website. You can ask us to take it down any time.

Changes

If we update these terms, the date at the top will change. Existing bookings are honoured under the terms in place when you booked.
